alone. Other Bahian fighters, notably fly weight Edilson Lucena

audience excitement.
Dilsinho's mission is to defeat current Brazilian
Champion Amilton Rodrigues, of Sáo Paulo, and take away his belt.

"Our expectation is taht we have a 60% chance of

Seol Olympics. Dilsinho weighs 50 kilos (110 pounds), is 1.64m (5ft.
4 1/2 in.) tall, and has won all 14 of his professional fights by

Under the supervision of his trainer Joilson, Edilson
followed a rigorous training schedule, especially in the last 15 days
before the fight.
In addition to running 6K a day, he exchanged many
blows with sparring partners Aristotelio Bispo, Daniel Souza, and Willy
Santos. Dilsinho rested a mere 30 seconds between each 3-minute round
with his 3 partners. The difference was that each partner went only
one round, while Dilsinho just rested 30 seconds before facing a new partner
who had rested for two rounds.
